What do you do?
: I am currently an AmeriCorps*VISTA with Chicago Public Schools. I work for the federally mandated “Students in Temporary Living Situations” and the non-profit Chicago HOPES. Both advocate and serve the nearly 15,000 homeless Chicago students. I love my job.
What are your top 5 interests right now:Reading, writing, cooking, working, netflix
What clubs/organizations do you belong to?:I’m secretary of the Michigan FFA Alumni State Council. Also involved with the Chicago LGBTQ Home Host Program for homeless youth and soon will be volunteering with the Chicago Gay History Program. And a book club that meets every other week.
What is 1 interesting thing about you that you’d like to share?: I’m addicted to quotes. Especially ones from songs. There must be a 12-step program somewhere.

What do you do?
: I am currently a student teacher at Waterford Kettering High School, instructing students in British Literature. Soon, though, I will be joining Americorps and working with the Boys Hope Girls Hope program to ensure academic success for youth that have the drive to goon to higher education but not necessarily the means.
What are your top 5 interests right now: Reading, running, cooking, LGBT activism, hockey
What clubs/organizations do you belong to?:I advise the Poetry Club and the GSA at my high school, but unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow for much else.
What is 1 interesting thing about you that you’d like to share?: I would watch Paula Deen until my eyes bled out of my head.

What do you do?
: I am at a year-long internship down in Asheville, North Caronlina at a place called Eliada Homes. It is a psychiatric treatment facility for kids, and I work in the residential services. I work with kids ages 6-17 who have multiple mental health diagnoses. It’s a fantastic job and great experience, although it consumes pretty much my entire life.
What are your top 5 interests right now: Reading, travel, cooking, yoga and writing.
What clubs/organizations do you belong to?:As previously stated, this internship has taken the rest of my life hostage.
What is 1 interesting thing about you that you’d like to share?: So I have recently become really interested in learning about infectious diseases, I just find them fascinating. More so the social aspect, and how infectious disease can impact a person, a community, a country, the world. My favorite is tuberculosis, because it has such a long history, and many different explanations and beliefs surrounding the disease.
